Welcome!

Thank you for taking the time to seek counseling. That is a huge step to trigger the change you want in your current situation. Congratulations!

As a psychotherapist, I strive to provide a comfortable and nonjudgmental environment where my clients feel heard. I utilize an eclectic approach,  using a variety of tools according to the situation that the client presents.

I use Transactional Analysis, Gestalt, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, REBT, Mindfulness, as well as Psycho-Education, to accommodate everyone's unique individual needs during their therapeutic journey.

My approach to therapy is person-centered, yet direct goal-oriented, with a strong belief that all individuals have an innate drive to self-actualization. I believe that everyone has the abilities and talent to fulfill their potential.

I believe the therapeutic relationship is a core strength in any therapeutic experience. I will walk with you on your journey all the steps of the way. We will laugh, cry, and push forward together to increase your confidence and self-compassion, and as a byproduct, you will improve your interpersonal relationships. You will be able to create the life you dream of.

I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and concerns. Whether facing difficulties related to relationships, stress, anxiety, or depression, I am here to foster an environment of healing and transformation.

My Story

I'm a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHCA). I will be working under the supervision of Lisa Neff (LCMHC S).  I earned an MS in Computer Science at the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE)  in Buenos Aires and an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU).  Although my previous background is in Computer Science, I truly believe that allows me to have a different perspective.  Before beginning my journey of private practice, I worked at several non-for-profit organizations in the Western North Carolina area, including Pisgah Legal Services, United Way, The Mediation Center, etc, performing a variety of social work positions with direct client contact with individuals from different backgrounds and cultures.  Most of those individuals were experiencing issues such as suicidality, profound loss, sexual abuse, domestic violence, etc. My clinical experience includes Meridian Behavioral Health where I spent one year, assisting individuals with severe mental illness. Those individuals were experiencing circumstances such as substance use issues at the Recovery and Education Center (REC). I also helped individuals with schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar I, etc at the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT team) at Meridian Behavioral Health, a division of Blue Ridge Health.

In-Person and Online Counseling

I offer the following through online counseling:

  • Individual Counseling

  • Marriage Counseling

  • Couples Counseling

  • Premarital Counseling

  • Teen / Adolescent Counseling

  • Family Counseling

  • Counseling in Spanish

Session Rates and Insurance

Individual therapy. I'm in-network with BCBS, Aetna, Medcost, and ChampVA. I also offer a sliding scale, with $60 to $80 for individual sessions and $80 to $100 for couples therapy.

Couples therapy is an investment in your relationship. Unlike individual therapy, it is not focused on targeting symptoms of a mental health diagnosis. We are focused on what is happening between you and your partner.

Unfortunately, health insurance doesn’t often cover the cost of marriage counseling sessions. There are some exceptions, such as when marriage counseling is deemed “medically necessary.” However, even if you can use insurance benefits, they often don’t cover the entire cost of treatment. You may also have a high deductible that you must meet before your benefits kick in.

It is for these reasons, that insurance benefits are not accepted unless we run a pre-authorization with positive results.

Couples 55-minute session: $150

Couples 85-minute session: $185

I offer packages: 3 sessions $420, 6 sessions for $720 if you pay upfront. Initial session $185
